If your child is auditioning for All-State Chorus or All-State Reading Chorus there is an $18 fee for each of these auditions that is now due. Also, if your child is attending Honor Chorus their $50 was due last week. Please turn these monies in as soon as possible.
It’s time for the Fall 2010 Spirit Wear sale, so place your order now and get ready to show your NGHS Chorus spirit! All orders are due with payment by September 22.

There has been a change to the required amount of the initial deposit for the NYC Trip. If you wish to participate in the trip, please submit a check for $250 by Wednesday, September 8th.
A second deposit of $300 will be due on October 8th.
Those wishing to participate in the NY trip next March must submit a non-refundable deposit of $550 by September 8th. This is very important! The deposit is required before we can reserve airline seats. If we do not receive your deposit by the deadline, we will not be able to reserve your seat and you will not be able to participate in the trip!
The dates for the trip have also been move up one day from those originally posted on the Chorus calendar. We will now be departing on Thursday, March 10 and returning on Sunday, March 13.
The course syllabus for the upcoming 2010-11 school year is now available. All students will be expected to download and print a copy of the syllabus to bring to class.
The parent meeting will be held in the theater on Tuesday, August 24th at 7 PM. General information about the North Gwinnett choral program will be presented. Following the general meeting, there will be an informational meeting for those interested in participating in this year’s chorus trip to New York City. The trip dates are tentatively set for Friday, March 11, 2011, through Monday, March 14, 2011.
Another school year is in the books. Congratulations to all of our 2010 graduates, and good luck in the future! Sadly, we also had to say goodbye to Ms. Wearne this year, but we know the North Gwinnett Chorus will continue to do great things under the outstanding leadership of Ms. Varner. Have a great summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone back here next year!
We are starting to work on the senior slideshow for the spring concert. If you have any pictures that include this year’s chorus seniors, please email them to pictures@nghschorus.com. If you have hard copies of pictures, please submit those to the chorus teachers in an envelope marked with your name and class period. We will scan them and return them to you.
The order form is now available for the spring Spirit Wear sale. All orders are due with payment by January 29.
Remember that all freshmen and other first year chorus students are required to order a T-shirt for the spring concert. Please choose an appropriate nickname of at most 12 characters to be included on the back of the T-shirt. Upperclassmen are also welcome to order another T-shirt if you want to change your nickname or just need a replacement.

The 2nd auditions for All-State Chorus are still being held today despite the cold weather. Auditions are located at Brookwood High School in Snellville. If you feel like you cannot make it to the auditions safely, please contact Ms. Wearne immediately!
