We are starting to work on the senior slideshow for the spring concert. If you have any pictures that include this year’s chorus seniors, please email them to pictures@nghschorus.com. If you have hard copies of pictures, please submit those to the chorus teachers in an envelope marked with your name and class period. We will scan them and return them to you.
The order form is now available for the spring Spirit Wear sale. All orders are due with payment by January 29.
Remember that all freshmen and other first year chorus students are required to order a T-shirt for the spring concert. Please choose an appropriate nickname of at most 12 characters to be included on the back of the T-shirt. Upperclassmen are also welcome to order another T-shirt if you want to change your nickname or just need a replacement.

The 2nd auditions for All-State Chorus are still being held today despite the cold weather. Auditions are located at Brookwood High School in Snellville. If you feel like you cannot make it to the auditions safely, please contact Ms. Wearne immediately!
The cookie dough fundraiser is complete and the wreath fundraiser orders are due today. As fundraiser money is received, each student’s portion of the money will be credited to their chorus student account. This money can be used for a variety of chorus-related purposes such as audition fees, trip expenses such as the hotel costs for Honor Chorus, and even for purchasing spirit wear.
To make use of the money from a student account, you must complete and sign a Student Account Voucher Form that specifies the purpose of the payment and the desired amount. The Voucher Form can then be submitted as payment and the money will be deducted from the student account.
Cookie dough orders will arrive on Monday, October 5. All orders need to be picked up between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm in the lobby area outside the chorus room.
The holiday wreath fundraiser begins tomorrow (October 2), and students will receive order forms in class. Please use one form for each item ordered. Additional forms will be available in the chorus room, or by calling Mary Lee Jackson at 678-546-5710.
All order forms are due with payment by October 23. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Please make checks payable to NGHS Chorus. For each order, fill out the gift card with a personal message and take the bottom receipt (customer copy). Please leave the “Organization Copy” receipt for the chorus records.
The available items may be viewed online. Remember that all prices include UPS shipping directly to the recipient anywhere in the continental US. Items will be delivered during the week of November 30 – December 4.

The Chorus Picnic was originally scheduled for this Saturday, September 26. However, the recent heavy rain and flooding, along with a strong probability of more rain on Saturday, have forced a change in plans.
The picnic has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 3. The event will now run from 10:00am – 1:00pm instead of the originally scheduled time. As a result of this time change, we will hold the competitions first with lunch afterward.
Because of the school closures earlier this week, the due date for Spirit Wear orders has been extended to Friday, October 2. The order form has been updated with the new due date, but you may still use the original order form if you have already downloaded it.
The annual Chorus Family Field Day is coming up on September 26th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Suwanee Creek Park. This is an optional event, but it’s always lots of fun and we would love to have as many students participating as possible. The entire family is welcome, so please feel free to bring younger siblings.
We will begin with a picnic lunch at the Alder Pavilion. Please bring sack lunches and drinks for your family. The Chorus Boosters will be providing desserts for everyone.
Lunch will be followed by lots of fun and games including a pickup football game and some friendly class competition including a water balloon toss, sponge relay, dizzy bat relay, and three-legged race. There will also be a huge water balloon fight where everyone ends up soaked (including the chorus directors), so come prepared to get wet!
