NGHS Chorus

The fall spirit wear sale starts today, and orders are due with payment by Wednesday, September 28. We have a great new design for this year, available in both short- and long-sleeved T-shirts as well as a pullover hoodie. Pictures of the new design are on the order form, so check them out!

Another fantastic chorus year has passed.  Mrs. Varner and the Chorus Boosters are already hard at work planning for next year.  We look forward to meeting upcoming freshman and welcoming back returning chorus members in the fall.  The parent meeting will be held in the chorus room on Tuesday, August 30th at 7 PM.

We are hoping to put together the traditional senior slideshow for the spring concert again this year, but the concert is on May 3 and time is running short!  If you have any pictures that include this year’s chorus seniors, please email them to pictures@nghschorus.com. Pictures taken during chorus events and trips are preferred. Please submit high-resolution pictures when possible because “Facebook-quality” pictures can sometimes become quite blurry when projected onto the large screen.

If you have a large number of pictures, or if your pictures are too large to send by e-mail, you may put them on a CD or DVD and send them in to the chorus teachers. If you would like your disc returned to you then please include your name and class period. If you have hard copies of pictures, you may submit those to the chorus teachers also. We will scan them and return them to you.

The final deadline for submitting pictures is Friday, April 29, but any pictures that can be sent in earlier will be much appreciated!

This spirit wear sale includes the required chorus uniform T-shirt for the Spring Concert. All chorus students who do not yet have a concert T-shirt are required to order one. Please provide an appropriate nickname for the back of the T-shirt (maximum 12 characters). You may also order a new T-shirt if you need a replacement or just want to change your nickname.

The final payment for students participating in the NY Trip will be $382 dollars and is due NO LATER than February 10th. The final payment amount for chaperones is $247. On Tuesday each student will receive a letter stating how much money they still owe for the trip. If your child is planning on using money in their chorus account, they must complete a student account voucher and turn it in by the due date. Below is the schedule for the Second All-State Chorus 2011 Audition. The auditions will be held at Brookwood High School on January 8, 2011.

Students MUST register at least 30 minutes before their scheduled audition time. Students who are late registering could experience a change in their audition time, possibly to the end of the day.

The next payment of $150 for the New York trip is due on December 6th.

The cut-off scores for All-State Chorus 2011 are now in!

Please stop by the lobby outside the chorus room tomorrow (Sept. 28th) between 2-5 PM to pick up your cookie dough order.  All orders must be picked up tomorrow as we do not have a place to store it.
